For its third edition, DXBDW’s key regional show, Abwab was housed in a specially designed pavilion in the heart of Dubai Design District. The structure was constructed from locally sourced material and designed by UAE-based architecture practice. Dubai Design Week audiences experienced not just the unique space, but also a curated showcase of contemporary design products drawn from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. At the core of the exhibition was a stage from which the complexity of cultures and design perspective across the region came alive.Find out more

The largest ever student gathering, representing 91 of the world’s best design schools, from 40 countries on 6 continents. Global Grad Show is an exhibition of groundbreaking works from the world’s leading design schools, held each year as part of Dubai Design Week. Since launching in 2015, the show has grown to become the world’s largest student gathering, and for its 2017 edition presented over 200 graduate projects grouped under the themes of Connect, Empower and Sustain.Find out more

Iconic City is a research-led exhibition and pop-up series, premiered in Dubai aimed at bringing to life the people and pulse that makes each creative city in the region unique. Making its debut at Dubai Design Week in 2017 was the Super Design Market. Supported by House of Folly, it placed a pop-up concept retail space at the heart of d3 for the six days of the design week. Featuring a carefully blended range of international and local brands, the store allowed visitors to browse and purchase high-quality design products, for gifts, homeware or simply as a souvenir from Dubai Design Week 2017.Find out more
Making Space, located in a pop-up space at d3, was a new initiative for Dubai Design Week which brought the opportunity to get your hands dirty! This studio-style venue will hosted a range of creative activities that brought the design process to life with drop-in demonstrations and workshops.Find out more
