Position: Database Coordinator
Requirement

Dubai Design Week is seeking a motivated, customer oriented, very organized and diligent intern to support database and CRM activities of Dubai Design Week team through direct supervision by the Project Head and CRM Manager.

 The candidate’s main responsibilities will include:

  •          Internet research and phone calls
  •          Adding/updating contact details
  •          Assisting the team in the preparation of e-invitations 
  •          Following up on ‘update your details’ campaign

The ideal candidate should:

  •          Have good level of computer skills, including Excel
  •          Be able to meet deadlines
  •          Have flexibility in juggling tasks

Interest in IT systems and working with database and CRM is a plus.

Position: Project Manager
Requirement: Full-time, internship – 4 months (August to December)

Manage Curation and Production of Iconic City

  • Liaise with Curator of Iconic City on content and delivery of exhibition;
  • curatorial texts, visuals and objects; design and layout of designated space at d3; logistics; production budget; etc.;
  • Liaise with ADG’s Production Manager to ensure required permits, space, equipment, materials, etc., are provided promptly for the successful production and installation of Iconic City: Cairo at the designated space in d3;
  • Manage and Support the production of any collaterals required for the documentation/promotion of Iconic City – print, electronic or online;
  • Encourage Curator of Iconic City to develop and deliver wraparound activities as part of the Public Programme of DXBDW;
  • Liaise with internal Marketing and Communications teams – by providing content – to support PR and Promotion of Iconic City;
  • Liaise – directly and indirectly – with partners and sponsors to ensure accurate representation, visibility and communications as agreed between those and ADG;
  • Plan and Monitor allocated budget for Iconic City.

Curate and Manage the Public Programme (PP)

  • Research, schedule, communicate and manage the participation of potential external stakeholders in the content development and delivery of various activities within the PP; key-note speeches, talks, panels discussions, presentations, workshops, and family/children activities;
  • Liaise – directly and indirectly – with partners and sponsors to ensure accurate representation, visibility and communications as agreed between those and ADG;
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders involved in running activities as part of the PP, mainly with Downtown Design and Global Grad Show teams;
  • Liaise with ADG’s Production Manager to ensure required space, equipment, etc., are provided promptly for the successful delivery of all activities suggested for the PP of the DDW 2016;
  • Organize and procure the materials for workshops
  • Draft, edit and proof-read texts and materials for the PP of DDW 2016;
  • Manage designer and printer re the production of all collaterals required for the promotion of the PP
  • Oversee website updates with information related to the PP
  • Manage the development and delivery budget of the PP
  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day work of any interns or volunteers recruited to help in the preparation for and delivery of the PP

Dubai Design Week is seeking passionate, energetic, punctual, customer oriented interns to contribute to the successful organization of the student educational tours. Through direct supervision by the project head and Student Tour Coordinator, the tour guide will offer commentary and enlightening information to school and university students as well as faculty members which will allow them to fully experience and enjoy the exhibitions.

The candidate’s main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Guide students and educators through the exhibitions and design projects
  • Compile and distribute collateral material

The candidate will have direct communication with school and university educators as well as the Student Tours Coordinator. Flexibility in juggling tasks is essential. Speaking Arabic is welcome but not obligatory.
